Future Leaders’ Academy in Ocala

A healthy financial future begins with good job training and positive work experiences. The City of Ocala will provide those advantages to 25 applicants for this year’s summer youth employment program.  Open to all City of Ocala residents ages 16-19, who are currently enrolled in a Marion County high school.

The program will include paid training focused on personal and professional growth, financial literacy, and technical job skills and certifications. Each student will be assigned a mentor to assist with learning job assignments, improving interpersonal skills, and enhancing self-confidence.

Students will be paid $15 per hour and are expected to work 20-25 hours per week. A SunTran bus pass will be provided for the program period to assist with transportation. Applications may be submitted online in the employment section of the City of Ocala’s website before 5 pm on April 12, 2024.
