Conserve Water – Save Money

Connect to your smart water meter to conserve water and save money. The City of Ocala Water Resources Department encourages water utility customers to sign up for a free EyeOnWater® account.

Ocala began installing smart meters in 2019 and continues upgrading remaining water meters. Upgraded smart water meters do not require manual water reads, and they allow utility customers to monitor their water usage through an app on their phone.

Using EyeOnWater®, customers can access their daily, weekly and yearly water usage, and receive potential leak notifications. The app includes a savings calculator to identify potential water saving actions like installing high-efficiency toilets.

To sign up for a free EyeOnWater® account:

1. Visit https://eyeonwater.com/signup or download the EyeOnWater® from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
2. Enter the account number, found on customer utility bill. Enter the account number using a hyphen between each of the six digits. (Ex: 123456-123456)
3. Enter billing ZIP code.
4. Click next.
5. Enter your email address.
6. Create and confirm a password.
7. Check the email and verify the address by clicking the confirmation link from Badger Meter Inc.
8. Sign in and let the water savings begin!
