The golden touch
Villages Rehab & Nursing Center received a 2019 Gold – Excellence in Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. Those who receive this award are considered among the best in this profession due to their patient-focused care. The 120-bed facility opened in 2013 and is one of only five facilities in the United States to receive the award. It is only the third in Florida to achieve this level of recognition. “This is an incredible honor and a testament to the talent and dedication of our Villages Rehab & Nursing Center team, who provide each patient with personalized and positive care that promotes the health of the whole person,” Executive Director Debbie Brazill says in a press release. “We are especially proud because this was the first time that we submitted for this prestigious award.” Emmett Reed, executive director of the Florida Health Care Association, Debbie and members of her staff are in the photo.
