The boys and girls of summer
It’s that time of year when parents and kids look forward to pitching, catching, batting, and playing America’s favorite game—baseball. There are numerous recreation leagues associated with the towns and cities throughout Lake and Sumter counties. Check county websites for information or call the local recreation director. As with most physical activities, there are plenty of benefits for boys and girls who enjoy being on the baseball field:
