Tai chi for fall prevention

Janice Boleyn, an instructor with Central Florida Health, will lead Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention twice a week from noon-1pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 14-March 5, at The Villages Regional Hospital, East Campus, Classroom 1 on the second floor. Tai chi is a category of exercise called moving meditation. The ancient Chinese practice combines gentle, deliberate movements, meditation and breathing exercises. The benefits of tai chi include a reduced fall risk and improvements in balance, mobility and overall health, Janice says. To register, call Janice at 352.323.4291 or email healthyus@centflhealth.org.
