New freestanding ER set to open in The Villages

UF Health is inviting the public to an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new freestanding emergency department in The Villages. The celebration is scheduled for 10am Thursday, Jan. 16, at 3800 Meggison Road.

The facility will be a 24/7 full-service emergency center capable of accepting and stabilizing all emergency patients and will include a variety of offerings, such as laboratory, pharmacy and diagnostic imaging, a news release states.
