Have a great day for a great cause at GCCF Community Appreciation Day, scheduled from noon-4pm Saturday, March 7, at Stormy Hill Harley-Davidson, 2480 Highway 27, Clermont.

The free, family-friendly event will include live music from Free Agent and other bands, a Kids Zone and food and drinks from vendors such as Ritter’s Frozen Custard. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

The day benefits the Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation, whose mission is to help affected families in the community get access to health-care support and the opportunity for a meaningful and enjoyable family life experience. The foundation provides limited financial aid and support focused on reducing the day-to-day stress that cancer has on patients, their families and caregivers, according to its website.

GCCF is a 501(c)(3) foundation funded by local business sponsors, organizations, individuals and fundraising community events. GCCF is 100 percent volunteer-staffed, and 100 percent of granted funds are disbursed to qualified recipients in the local area. Wherever possible, all purchases are also made within the area.
