Forty-six percent of American consumers feel positive about their current financial situation, according to a 2018 study by Nielsen Global Premiumization. Still, a great number of consumers feel they’re just in survival mode. Meanwhile, consumers say they’re spending about 33 percent more on groceries than they used to spend.
