Central Florida Health Hospitals Awarded Joint Commission Certification

Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Regional Hospital earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval Core Certification for hip and knee replacement, according to a press release. This seal reflects the quality of treatment and the hospital’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient care.

“Leesburg Regional Medical Center and The Villages Regional Hospital are proud to receive this two-year certification from the Joint Commission,” says Don Henderson, president and CEO of Central Florida Health, the not-for-profit health-care organization that comprises the two hospitals and TVRH Rehabilitation Hospital. “We have always been known for the quality of our orthopedic care, and this accreditation validates and recognizes the considerable skill of the orthopedic surgeons, nurses, therapists, and numerous support personnel who all work together to provide excellent care for those patients requiring hip and/or knee replacement surgery.”
